Mikey Moore couldn’t be any more clear on Rangers future as Ibrox support shines through

Mikey Moore could not be any clearer when it comes to his Rangers future.

The young winger scored his sixth goal for the club on Saturday, as Danny Rohl’s side beat Aberdeen 4-1 at Ibrox.

Joining the club on loan from Tottenham last summer, Moore has continued to grow in importance at the club.

Heading into the final days of the season, the 18-year-old’s long-term future does remain in doubt, with Rangers fans desperate to see him in action in Glasgow once again next term.

Looking ahead to the summer, though, Moore is loving his time in the Scottish Premiership.

Mikey Moore drops verdict on Rangers future

Breaking through at Tottenham last term due to the injury crisis under Ange Postecoglou, Moore would be sent up to Rangers in search of game time over the subsequent summer.

Receiving huge applause when he was substituted against Aberdeen on Saturday, the youngster has become a highly popular figure among the fanbase.

Speaking to reporters Moore said: “I feel the love from the fans in the stadium and I think they’ve taken to me really well.

“For a loan player, I think they’ve been unbelievable with me, especially with the way we started and the way I started personally.”

Both Rangers and Moore started the campaign poorly under Russell Martin, with the young forward really struggling to get going initially, before he has burst into life in 2026.

Parent club Tottenham remain locked in a relegation battle in the Premier League, which could have huge implications on Moore’s future, but he said “I’ve loved every single second I’ve been here, the club is special and special to me now.

“I’m just going to enjoy the next seven games and obviously I need to speak to people back home and you never know what can happen. I don’t know if there’s been much club-to-club contact yet but I know that people spoke to me and the people around me, so conversations are happening.”

Crucially, Moore said something that Rangers fans will absolutely adore.

“This has been unbelievable, and if it’s right for me next year, then I’d love to stay here,” he concluded.

Moore will only get better at Rangers

At 18, the sky is the limit for Moore, and the simple fact of the matter is that Rangers fans have not seen the best of him yet, when compared with what is yet to come.

Throughout the campaign, he has continued to grow in importance and has now taken somewhat of a talismanic role out on the left flank under Rohl, and as showcased by his Sofascore graphic below, he is simply all-action.

Should Tottenham secure their spot in the Premier League, a second loan spell may well be a possibility – an opportunity that Rangers fans would love to see.

The youngster is continuing to grow in a Rangers side that is far from the finished article itself, and after a solid year settling in at the club, he could explode next term.
