Nicolas Raskin is every Rangers fan right now as Mikey Moore urged to stay on at Ibrox

Nicolas Raskin has echoed the thoughts of every Rangers fan when it comes to Tottenham Hotspur loanee Mikey Moore.

Moore has been lighting it up at Ibrox since joining on a season-long loan in the summer, and there are hopes that he can stay on beyond the end of the season.

The Gers are reportedly in talks with the Premier League outfit over a potential deal, with Spurs understood to want a hefty sell-on fee and first refusal on a future transfer.

Raskin took to Moore’s Instagram on 21 March, posting a gif of a contract after Moore uploaded images from Rangers’ win over Aberdeen.

What do Rangers squad think about Mikey Moore deal?

Moore’s future will be one of Rangers’ biggest transfer dilemmas in the summer.

His showing at Ibrox in the win over the Dons was sensational as the Sofascore graphic below highlights, and took them within three points of league leaders Hearts in the Scottish Premiership.

Raskin seems to be leading the calls for the 18-year-old to stay in Govan beyond his current loan terms after the result, and he knows exactly what he is doing with his social media antics.

Gers fans will love that, and it suggests that optimism over a deal may well be rising among the squad at Auchenhowie.

Can Rangers really sign Moore again?

Tottenham insider John Wenham has previously told Ibrox News, how the Light Blues can sign Moore again.

He believes that the Lilywhites would not sanction a permanent transfer, but would allow another loan, if Danny Rohl’s side get into the Champions League.

He said: “I’m sure while Rangers would love to make it permanent, and all I am hearing is Mikey has absolutely loved that loan spell, I don’t see Tottenham authorising a permanent exit at all.

“If Rangers win the SPFL, and secure Champions League football next year, maybe another loan could be revisited if it suited all parties.

“At this point, Bears supporters will take any way of getting Moore back, as he is proving to be one of the best players in the Scottish game.”

If they can get him for another campaign, with experience of the division under his belt, it is a tantalising prospect.

Whether it happens remains to be seen, but it may well be the best move for his development, for him to spend another season north of the border with the Gers.

If the 49ers Enterprises group and Andrew Cavenagh could secure another loan, it would be a huge sign of ambition, and put Rohl’s side in pole position for the title next season.

Raskin is certainly doing his best to convince Moore, but whether it works and he wants to stay, only time will tell.
