Findlay Curtis Scotland call-up: Three Rangers youngsters who will hope to follow him

Rangers youngster Findlay Curtis was called up to the Scotland squad for the first team on Tuesday.

Curtis has only made 26 appearances for the Gers’ first-team, but his impressive form on loan at Kilmarnock has caught the eye of Steve Clarke.

If the Gers sensation manages to impress in the friendlies against Japan and Ivory Coast on 28 March and 31 March, he may well find himself going to the World Cup in the summer.

Rangers have a lot of promising youngsters in their academy, and Ibrox News looks at who will want to follow Curtis’ example.

Aiden McCallion

Aiden McCallion is one of Rangers’ standout academy players, and has been a regular part of training with the first-team.

He won the Gers’ Academy Player of the Year award for the 2024-25 season, but is yet to make his senior debut for the Govan club.

The Under-19s captain is primarily a defensive midfielder, and he also has experience in the Scotland set-up already.

McCallion has seven caps for the Under-16s, eight for the Under-17s and one for the Under-19s, with his last coming in the 2-1 loss to Kazakhstan in September 2025.

Zander Hutton

Zander Hutton is another who has trained regularly with the senior side, and has featured in several matchday squads.

Hutton is a right-back who tries to get up and down the pitch as much as he can, but he is yet to make his debut just like McCallion.

He joined Hamilton Academical on loan in September 2025 to gain senior experience, and he has made 23 appearances, with one assist in that time.

The 19-year-old has two caps for Scotland Under-17s and even scored a goal in the 5-1 loss to Czech Republic in October 2022.

Calum Adamson

Calum Adamson has been with the Gers for eight years, but is yet to make his senior bow just like the other two players.

The midfielder has also trained with the first-team, alongside McCallion and Hutton and has impressed coaches.

He has spent this season on loan with Alloa Athletic, with two goals and three assists in 19 appearances for the Wasps.

The 18-year-old has played six times for Scotland Under-19s, with his latest appearance being the 2-1 loss to Lithuania in November 2025.
