Findlay Curtis’ Scotland call-up proves Danny Rohl made mistake with Rangers loan exit
Findlay Curtis looks set to make his debut for the Scotland national team after the Rangers loanee was called up to the March international squad.
In the winter transfer window, the Gers made the decision to send the 19-year-old winger out on loan to Kilmarnock as he sought more game time.
The decision appears to have been the right move on a personal level for Curtis, but the same cannot be said for Rangers.
Over the last few weeks, other than Mikey Moore, the wide forwards for the Bears have been far from impressive.
But it now appears Curtis has done enough to impress Steve Clarke since his Rangers loan exit was confirmed.

🚨 RANGERS TRANSFER UPDATE 🚨
The latest breaking news on signings, departures, and Danny Röhl’s primary targets.
How have Rangers’ wingers performed since Findlay Curtis loan?
Sending a young talent out on loan makes sense if you have a plethora of higher-quality players ahead of them, but Rangers have not had that this season.
Oliver Antman, Andreas Skov Olsen and Djeidi Gassama have not inspired much, with Moore the only wide man that has shown glimpses of the quality needed.
While Antman’s numbers may look good on paper, the Finnish attacker does not seem to be in the German’s plans with just three appearances since Curtis left.
Additionally, Rabbi Matondo remains at Ibrox, but he has also only featured for one minute for Danny Rohl this season.
| Player | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
| Oliver Antman | 3 | 1 | 1 |
| Andreas Skov Olsen | 8 | 1 | 2 |
| Djeidi Gassama | 8 | 0 | 1 |
| Mikey Moore | 9 | 2 | 1 |
The arrival of Skov Olsen was meant to improve the options available to Rohl this season, but instead it now looks like the wrong decision was made.
While the Dane has picked up three goal contributions in his last eight appearances, his performances have been poor.
Officials in G51 may have been better placed to put trust into Curtis rather than looking elsewhere for a solution.
Right now, the young Scotsman would certainly have a case to get minutes in this Rangers side, as the Glasgow club desperately need some new ideas in attack.
Andreas Skov Olsen call could benefit Curtis
Curtis’ loan deal does not include an option to buy, so he will return to Govan for next season.
If he continues to impress in East Ayrshire, then he could be the answer to the Gers’ winger problems.
Moore looks set to return to Tottenham following the end of his loan move, while it remains to be seen if Rangers will activate Skov Olsen’s £8million buy option.

As it stands, you would lean towards the Glasgow outfit rejecting the chance to make his switch permanent.
Gassama has also had links away from Rangers over recent months, so it certainly seems a shakeup in the winger department is bound to happen.
Curtis could be one of the biggest beneficiaries of that.
