Rangers willing to sell Emmanuel Fernandez as West Ham alerted to Ibrox star already
Emmanuel Fernandez could leave Rangers sooner than expected, with West Ham now tracking the 24-year-old ahead of the summer.
Fernandez has been one of the Bears’ best-performing players this campaign, after overcoming early-season struggles at Ibrox.
His defensive qualities and even goal-scoring prowess from the back have allowed the Govan-based club to attempt a title charge.
The Rangers centre-back has been attracting plenty of interest throughout Europe, including from the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal.
However, another London club has entered the mix in West Ham, and how the 49ers feel about a Rangers exit for Fernandez has emerged.

What has been said about Rangers’ Emmanuel Fernandez stance?
The future of Fernandez at Ibrox could be determined in the upcoming summer transfer window, with West Ham’s interest now emerging.
According to journalist Alan Nixon, the Hammers are now watching Fernandez following his breakthrough performances for Rangers since signing from Peterborough.
But Nixon, via his Patreon, shares that Rangers are “willing to sell at the right price,” suggesting a sale for the defender could be on the table this summer.
Even if the Gers did not wish to sanction an exit, the player may also seek to secure a transfer to a side like West Ham.

Although Fernandez has been playing well for the G51 outfit, the allure of a move back home could tempt the defender.
The 24-year-old was born in the English capital, so it would not only represent a showing of his improvement north of the border but also a homecoming as well.
How much could Rangers get for Emmanuel Fernandez?
Rangers must not allow themselves to be low-balled when it comes to a Fernandez sale, with the Englishman having proven himself at Ibrox this season.
Peterborough director of football Barry Fry believes Fernandez could be sold for a hefty fee down the line.
Fry said: “I made it clear Rangers would eventually sell him for £30million or even £40m.”
However, according to Transfermarkt, the defender has not quite reached those heights just yet. They have Fernandez listed to be worth around £7.8m currently.

Overall, Rangers may have seemingly already made a profit on their £3m purchase, but now they must be wise not to miss out on any crucial funds that could help them restore a foothold in Scottish football.
Additionally, with Nasser Djiga likely to return to Wolves following his loan move, the Glasgow outfit would be wise not to leave themselves needing multiple new centre-back signings.
