Rangers can present long-term Jens Hjerto-Dahl transfer plan after blunt admission
Rangers should be all over Tromso midfielder Jens Hjerto-Dahl in the upcoming transfer window.
The Gers were being heavily linked with the 20-year-old in January, but he ended up staying at the Norwegian club.
Despite an opportunity to leave Romssa Arena the youngster decided to stay put and signed a new contract until 2029.
Hjerto-Dahl should still be a target at Ibrox ahead of the summer, with the Glaswegian outfit presented with an opportunity to convince him.

🚨 RANGERS TRANSFER UPDATE 🚨
The latest breaking news on signings, departures, and Danny Röhl’s primary targets.
Rangers an exciting prospect for Jens Hjerto-Dahl after Besiktas snub
Besiktas were keen on Hjerto-Dahl in the winter transfer window, but the midfielder ended up rejecting the chance to join them.
Speaking to TV 2 on 12 March, the young talent said, “I had to turn off all my notifications. It was so loud that it blew up my phone. A stressful period. You’re walking around thinking about it all the time.”
The reason behind the Norway Under-20 international’s new contract at Tromso was that he’s thinking long and hard about his future.
When asked whether his rejection was due to having a long-term career plan, Hjerto-Dahl said, “Yes.”
The Super Lig doesn’t seem to excite the youngster, and while football in Scotland isn’t among the top leagues, the Glaswegian outfit can surely provide a better pathway for him.
If the Norwegian prospect does thrive in the William Hill Premiership, the chances of attracting interest from down south are likely higher, something the Govan side should use to entice him.
Hjerto-Dahl is already being compared to Fulham midfielder Sander Berge, adding, “I’ve heard the Berge comparison several times before. I’ll take it. A robust player with good drive.”
Danny Rohl to have Jens Hjerto-Dahl priority at Ibrox soon
Nicolas Raskin could potentially be leaving Rangers in the summer, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see a top team fighting for the Belgian midfielder’s signature if he has an impressive World Cup campaign.
The Gers should already be on the lookout for the 24-year-old’s replacement and someone who can complement Tochi Chukwuani in the middle of the park.

Danny Rohl must demand Hjerto-Dahl’s signing, with the youngster seemingly the perfect fit for the German manager’s team due to his physical stature and technical ability on the ball.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for the Norwegian star, but the door to the Premier League could potentially open for him after a move to Glasgow.
