‘I played for Danny Rohl, Rangers fans will regret his sacking at Ibrox’
Sheffield Wednesday defender Max Lowe has urged Rangers fans to stick by Danny Rohl.
The German manager has come under a bit of criticism from the Gers’ supporters after losing the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup quarter-final to Celtic on 8 March.
James Tavernier and Djeidi Gassama missed during the penalty shootout, piling pressure on the German manager after the Light Blues dropped two points in the Old Firm derby a week earlier.
Rohl’s future at Ibrox has come under the scanner, but the former Sheffield Wednesday boss is only destined for bigger and better things if he leaves the Glaswegian outfit.

Danny Rohl will be Premier League manager after Rangers exit
Lowe has asked Gers fans to cherish Rohl as long as he’s at the club.
The German manager turned a difficult situation at Hillsborough around after being appointed in 2023 and came into a similar situation at Ibrox.
After the Light Blues’ abysmal start in the William Hill Premiership under Russell Martin, no one would’ve expected Rohl to bring them back into title contention.
The 36-year-old, who worked under Hansi Flick at Bayern Munich and the German national team, is expected to coach in the Premier League or another top-flight club in Europe if his adventure in Glasgow ends.
Speaking to the Daily Record on 12 March, Lowe said, “So my message to those fans is just stick by him. If you ask any lad who has worked with him, at Sheffield Wednesday and previous clubs, at Bayern or wherever else in Germany, they’d say how good a manager he is.
“And believe me, if he ends up leaving Rangers, he’s going to go on to the Prem or a top division in Europe. I think they should be cherishing him, because we all miss him here at Wednesday as well.’
Danny Rohl his own worst enemy at Ibrox
Some fans want Rohl out at Ibrox if he can’t win the William Hill Premiership now that Rangers are out of the cup competitions.
The German manager built up expectations among supporters at the Gers and is now failing to meet them after being backed in the winter transfer window.

It has also been frustrating for some of the Ibrox faithful to see the Light Blues struggle to dominate games consistently.
There may be an argument that had Rohl not done as well as he has since taking over, fans in G51 would have wanted to see him given more time due to the obvious lack of quality in the Glaswegian outfit’s squad.
