Everything we know about Youssef Chermiti’s contract situation as Rangers heroics continue
Youssef Chermiti has captured the imagination with his big-game performances for Rangers.
The Portuguese signed for the Gers to a mixed reception due to his large fee and the lack of positive reviews from Everton.
There has been plenty of frustration surrounding the 21-year-old this season due to his number of poor performances for the Ibrox club.
Those have been put to the back of everyone’s minds in Govan after the striker’s goals against Celtic and Hearts in recent weeks.
Chermiti has thrown himself into cult hero status as a result, and now Ibrox News has assessed everything we know about his contract situation.

What are the terms of Youssef Chermiti’s Rangers contract?
The forward signed for the Light Blues in a deal that appeared to be solely down to Kevin Thelwell’s links to Everton.
That rubbed a lot of supporters up the wrong way, and that meant he was always fighting an uphill battle in the Scottish Premiership.
His strikes against Celtic and Hearts may prove to be worth the reported £8million fee that the Gers paid for the former Sporting Lisbon youngster.
His wages don’t necessarily reflect that sizable fee, with Chermiti ranking around the middle of the Ibrox squad for weekly salary.
The forward reportedly earns £21,000 per week, equating to a yearly amount just over £1m on a four-year deal that will run out in the summer of 2029.
When could Chermiti leave Rangers?
There are still some reservations over the Portugal Under-21 international, as his goalscoring form still represents a concern.
He has found the net in big games, and his Old Firm bicycle kick will go down in history as one of the great Ibrox goals.
That has somewhat clouded the frustration surrounding Chermiti, who may not actually be good enough to leave the line for the Gers.
If his form doesn’t improve, the summer may prove to be an early opportunity to cut ties with the ex-Everton man to recoup some of his £8m fee.
Danny Rohl may want to keep hold of him, and if his level does take a step up, there is every chance he can see out his contract in G51.
