Danny Rohl sack claim laughed off live on air after Rangers draw vs Celtic
Danny Rohl has come under pressure at Rangers after Celtic made a comeback in the William Hill Premiership on Sunday.
Martin O’Neill’s team came back from two goals down in the second half of the Old Firm derby at Ibrox on 1 March, with Youssef Chermiti putting the Gers in the driver’s seat after his brace.
One Light Blues faithful called up to Clyde 1 Superscoreboard and demanded the German manager’s dismissal after dropping two points against the Hoops.
It led to an instant reaction from the panel, including Hugh Keevins, Cammy Bell and Gordon Dalziel, seemingly laughing it off, with Gordon Duncan clearly perplexed and responding, “Come on”.

What did Rangers fan say about Danny Rohl after Celtic draw?
Rohl had Celtic’s number in the first half, with the Gers dominating and controlling the game.
O’Neill made two changes at the break and the German manager was unable to answer the subsequent questions posed by the Hoops at Ibrox.
The former Sheffield Wednesday boss tried to take back the initiative by bringing on Mohamed Diomande and Djeidi Gassama, but they were unable to make a difference.
Speaking on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard after the 2-2 draw, the Glaswegian outfit’s supporter said, “I’m sorry, you want a manager that can grab this league by the scruff of the neck and get it over the line. He’s not the man and that was a shocking performance by him today. At half-time, you bring Diomande on, you go 4-3-3. Celtic dominated us, and they deserved what they got.”
While Rohl should certainly have done better, and his in-game management has rightly come under question after the disappointment in G51, it wouldn’t have made sense to make changes at half-time.
The Light Blues were almost perfect in the opening 45 minutes, and bringing Diomande on immediately after would’ve surely been baffling.
Will Danny Rohl get sacked at Ibrox if he doesn’t win a trophy?
After an abysmal start to the season under Russell Martin, many Gers fans are happy to see stability return to the Govan side.
Rangers have got themselves back into the title race from a rather impossible position and Rohl deserves massive credit for it.
The German manager will feel he’s already made plenty of progress at the Light Blues to continue in the dugout next season, regardless of winning silverware, and Andrew Cavenagh would be bold to change managers again anytime soon.
However, there will be those who will certainly question Rohl’s credentials if he fails to win either the league title or the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup, and it remains to be seen how the situation unfolds.
