Youssef Chermiti out of this world, Ryan Naderi fails – Rangers player ratings vs Celtic
Rangers relinquished a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 with Celtic at Ibrox on Sunday afternoon.
Youssef Chermiti sparked pandemonium around Ibrox after just eight minutes, scoring an incredible overhead kick to give Danny Rohl’s side the lead.
The 21-year-old added a second midway through the first half, capitalising on a Dane Murray mistake to double the Gers’ advantage.
Celtic were much improved in the second half, and Kieran Tierney pulled one back for the visitors just before the hour mark.
The Hoops were then awarded a penalty as Dujon Sterling handled in the area, and despite Jack Butland saving Reo Hatate’s spot-kick, the midfielder converted the second rebound.
Youssef Chermiti stuns Celtic again
Chermiti has been heavily criticised at times this season, but he has consistently stepped up in big games.
The former Everton man had already grabbed a brace at Celtic Park earlier in this season, as well as scoring a hat-trick against Hearts, and he was on fire again on Sunday afternoon.
His overhead kick will get all the headlines, but his second goal was just as impressive, the centre-forward flicking the ball around Julian Araujo and finishing beautifully.
Chermiti is fast becoming a Rangers hero, and if he continues to deliver in big games, he will have a very successful career at Ibrox.

Ryan Naderi underwhelms up front
Ryan Naderi has struggled for Rangers since joining from Hansa Rostock in the winter transfer window.
The 22-year-old did grab a brace against Queen’s Park in the Scottish Cup, but he is yet to score for the Gers in the Scottish Premiership, and that didn’t change against Celtic.
Naderi actually started well, like the rest of his Rangers teammates, but the centre-forward faded quickly as Celtic grew back into the game.
The German was replaced by Mohammed Diomande just after the hour mark, as Rohl looked to tighten up the midfield.
