Rangers have Mikey Moore advantage as Tottenham prospect may be last thing he wants
Danny Rohl will surely be desperate to keep Tottenham loanee Mikey Moore at Rangers after the end of the season.
The 18-year-old has been the surprise catalyst of the Gers’ attacks this season, thriving under the German manager and shouldering the creative burden for the team.
Spurs have held talks about Moore’s permanent transfer to Ibrox, with the North London outfit likely to include a hefty sell-on clause and a first right of refusal if the Light Blues can agree a deal.
From the English youngster’s perspective, it would be well within his interest to force the Lilywhites to part ways with him as he continues to play a prominent role in Glasgow.
Mikey Moore game time at Tottenham not guaranteed after Rangers exit
Moore is a key player for Rohl at the Gers, as seen in the Sofascore graphic below, but that may not be the case for him under whoever the next manager at Tottenham will be.
Igor Tudor has replaced Thomas Frank as Spurs look to avoid Premier League relegation this season.
While the North London outfit lack depth at the moment, they are without several key attackers, such as James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski, who will return to the fold sooner rather than later.
If Moore were to return to Tottenham, there’s no guarantee he’ll be able to build on his development in Govan, and the prospect of being benched in N17 could possibly be the last thing he wants.

Speaking to the Daily Record on 26 February, Les Ferdinand said, “So the last thing you want to do is go back somewhere where you end up sitting on a bench, where you’re not involved. Mikey will want to expand on what he’s done.
“Whether that means another year at Rangers as progression for him, it’s not for me to say. But what I can tell you is that I’d hate to see him go back to Spurs and just sit on a bench and not play.”
Mikey Moore has no-brainer option after what Danny Rohl has done
Rangers have turned the tide this season after an abysmal start under Russell Martin, with Rohl bringing consistency and stability back to G51.
The German manager has assessed the Gers squad over the last few months, and it’s clear he now has a few undroppables in the starting lineup as the club pursues the William Hill Premiership title.

Moore has been an ever-present in the former Sheffield Wednesday boss’ plans as the Light Blues look to close the gap with Hearts at the top of the table.
Considering the faith Rohl has shown in the Tottenham loanee, it would make sense for the forward to continue at Ibrox for a few more years before possibly returning to North London.
