Dujon Sterling’s contract latest: Here’s everything Rangers fans need to know
Dujon Sterling has had mixed fortunes since signing for Rangers.
Sterling has endured significant injury issues since joining the Ibrox side from Chelsea in 2023, but he has bounced back.
He has emerged as a key option under Danny Rohl‘s leadership and looks set to play a role as the Gers chase the Scottish Premiership title.
The German will be relieved by his contract situation in Govan, as it looks as though he is going nowhere anytime soon.

When does Sterling’s contract run out at Rangers?
Sterling initially signed a four-year deal with Rangers in May 2023, which was set to expire in 2027.
However, that was extended to May 2028 in October 2024 when he signed a new contract with the Auchenhowie outfit.
That was a reward for his fine form that he showed under Phillipe Clement, and he was finally able to show it again under Rohl, after a long spell on the sidelines with an Achilles injury.
What did Sterling say after signing new Rangers contract?
Sterling revealed his pride at earning a new deal with the Govan club, and admitted that it now feels like home.
After signing fresh terms with the 55-time domestic champions, he said: “It is good to get it over the line, I am obviously proud.
“The club have rewarded me because they thought my performances were good last season and for me it is just about building on that this season.
“It gives me extra motivation that I want to do more, I have got the reward and now I want to repay the favour.
“It is a great place to work every day, with a good manager, teammates, staff and fans. It feels like a home and for me there was no reason to change that.”
That suggests that he is happy with the Bears, and does not see himself going anywhere in the near future, despite persistent exit speculation that has emerged.
What does Danny Rohl think about Sterling?
Rohl clearly rates Sterling, and he expressed his pleasure at having him back after he appeared in the 2-1 Europa League defeat by Ferencvaros in December.
Speaking after the contest, he said: “Yeah, very important.
“I’m happy that he got 35 minutes, I think this is crucial for us to have him back, and, yeah, hopefully there’s no reaction.
“If everything goes well, then I saw in this 35 minutes a good Dujon, and he will help us a lot.”
The only question for the German manager is whether the right-back can keep his fitness up, as he is contracted for the next two years, so there are no question marks over his future.
He is expected to return for the Celtic clash this weekend on 1 March, after suffering an injury setback, and he can show Rohl and the supporters exactly why they should be excited that he is set to stay in Glasgow for the foreseeable future in that fixture.
Hopefully, he can add the title to the Scottish League Cup that he won with the club in the 2023-24 season in the near future.
