Rangers discuss permanent Mikey Moore transfer as details of possible deal emerge

Rangers are in conversation with Tottenham to sign Mikey Moore permanently ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

The 18-year-old, who joined the Gers on loan last summer, could be on his way to Ibrox at the end of the season, with the Govan side in discussion over a pre-agreement to sign him, according to Football FanCast.

On 26 February, the news outlet reported that after suggestions that Spurs are ready to sanction the young forward’s sale if they aren’t relegated and the player is open to staying in Scotland, the Light Blues have already begun talks.

It’s been claimed that any deal between the Glaswegian outfit and the North London club will likely include a hefty sell-on clause and grant the Lilywhites first refusal on any future transfer.

Rangers stats show why Mikey Moore transfer is no-brainer

Moore has arguably been one of the most creative outlets for the Gers this season, often carrying their attacks, with his Sofascore graphic above highlighting his importance.

Against Livingston on 22 February, the Tottenham loanee was the hero of the Light Blues’ comeback as they came from two goals behind to secure a 2-2 draw at Almondvale Stadium.

The young attacker has made 23 appearances in the William Hill Premiership this season, scoring five goals, providing two assists, recording 0.8 shots on target per game and creating four big chances, as per Sofascore.

Moore has completed 44 per cent of his dribbles, averaging 1.3 per game, and has also contributed defensively, with 0.7 tackles, 3.5 ball recoveries, and 3 duels won per game.

Danny Rohl has struggled at times to bring the best out of the Glaswegian outfit’s attack, but the English youngster has been a catalyst more often than not as fans in Govan dream of winning the league title after being in an impossible position under Russell Martin.

Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises to sanction lucrative Ibrox exit after MIkey Moore deal

Moore’s permanent arrival at Rangers will surely be a massive boost for Rohl and will give the German manager some continuity regarding his front line for next season.

The Englishman has cemented his place in the Gers’ starting lineup in recent months, and if the attacker stays in Govan, it will surely affect some other players at Ibrox.

AS Monaco wanted to sign Djeidi Gassama in the winter transfer window and were willing to pay £10million for the French youngster.

Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises may be tempted to sell the former Sheffield Wednesday star if a similar offer arrives in the summer, with his influence in the starting lineup decreasing lately as Moore takes the baton.
