Rangers have hit the jackpot with Danny Rohl, Scottish Premiership reveal shows it

Danny Rohl’s incredible work at Rangers has still somewhat gone under the radar.

Rangers came from 2-0 down to secure a point against Livingston, and while the clash was marred with controversy, it was a result that still keeps the Gers in the title race.

Rohl‘s side sit four points behind league leaders Hearts, and two above Celtic, albeit having played an extra game compared to the latter.

However, stats show that the Light Blues are onto a winner with Rohl in charge, with success bound to come their way in the near future.

Danny Rohl is the man for Rangers, stats show why

There have been a few bumps in the road under Rohl’s stewardship, but for the most part, Rangers have improved massively since he arrived.

The Light Blues had won two of their first nine league games before the German took over, which had them 13 points behind Hearts.

But since then, Rangers have won 14 of their 20 games under Rohl, having lost in the league on just one occasion.

Granted, it doesn’t, but had the league table started when Rohl took over, the Gers would be five points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership, with Motherwell and Hearts behind them.

The Light Blues also have the joint-best goal difference in that time period, having scored 41 and conceded just 14.

It’s a showcase that Rohl is the perfect man for the job at Ibrox, and that success is edging closer for the first time in years.

There’s still one issue hindering Rangers

With 49 goals from 28 league games, which is the second-most in the league, it’s perhaps harsh to say that scoring goals is an issue.

But when you look at Rangers’ top scorers from the current campaign, there are concerns.

Youssef Chermiti’s resurgence has seen him move up to seven goals for the campaign, alongside James Tavernier.

However, Emmanuel Fernandez is their next top scorer with five, and for two of your defenders to be in the top three scorers for the season, it showcases where quality is lacking.

Rangers need their forwards to start contributing regularly, and if they can achieve that, there is no reason why they can’t take the league title back to Ibrox.
