Rangers fans to cheer on Tottenham as Mikey Moore transfer reality emerges

Rangers will be keeping tabs on Tottenham’s Premier League results, as that could now affect their pursuit to retain Mikey Moore in the summer window.

That is according to TEAMtalk, who have issued an update on the Bears’ chances of keeping Moore for next season.

As it stands, the Spurs loanee is set to return to London upon the end of the season, but the 18-year-old has become a crucial player under Danny Rohl, who is chasing the Scottish Premiership title.

The 49ers will no doubt seek to extend his time at Ibrox; however, negotiations could prove tough depending on the outcome of Tottenham’s season.

What do Rangers want to happen at Tottenham?

Rangers supporters may be cheering on Tottenham for the rest of the season, as their Premier League survival could mean Moore returns to Govan next season.

The report about the young talent suggests that the North London club are willing to allow Moore to go back out on loan, as long as he gets first-team minutes.

For the G51 outfit, that would be no issue, with Moore starting in 21 of his 36 appearances this campaign.

However, if the Premier League side end up getting relegated, that could make them evaluate the situation in a different manner.

Spurs are said to want to keep the winger at the club in that scenario, as dropping down to the Championship would give him an excellent platform to develop, as well as receive those first-team minutes.

Eyes from Ibrox will almost certainly be set on Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the remainder of the season.

What has Mikey Moore said about staying at Rangers?

At the end of January, Moore stated that nothing had been decided about his future beyond this season yet and that a decision will be made after the season.

When it comes to staying at Rangers, Moore has spoken positively about that prospect, admitting that he loves playing for the Glasgow club.

However, he did also admit he wants to play Champions League football, and if Rohl cannot secure it this season, there could be other suitors who could prize him away.

Time will tell what happens with Moore, but there may now be a few extra Tottenham fans walking around G51.
