Rangers fans to sweat worst-possible Dujon Sterling scenario after cryptic Danny Rohl update
Danny Rohl has confirmed that he will be forced to make changes for the Rangers’ trip to Livingston on Saturday.
The Gers will travel to the Home of the Set Fare Arena to take on Marvin Bartley’s side in the Scottish Premiership in search of another three points.
While speaking in his press conference before the game, Rohl confirmed that the Bears could be without several players, claiming that there are “problems” with some individuals.
Rangers have good momentum following their top-of-the-table win over Hearts last time out, and supporters will be hoping that none of the supposed injuries are serious.
However, there is a strong possibility that Dujon Sterling is one of the players who has suffered a setback.
This is why Rangers fans should be concerned about Dujon Sterling
Sterling has already faced his injury issues in the past and has been seemingly returning to full fitness over the past couple of weeks.
However, the defender was hooked before the hour mark against Hearts, and while some may suggest that it was a planned substitution, there’s a good chance that he felt a niggle or something worse.
- Sterling was involved in a car crash at the start of January
- He had only just returned from missing 229 days through an Achilles injury
Sterling has worked hard with physio Steve Walker to get back to match fitness following his horror Achilles tendon injury that he suffered last season, and was then dealt another major blow after a car crash last month.
But the Achilles injury is the type of setback that can take a player up to a year or longer to recover from, with many who return never fully the same.

It’s the largest tendon in the human body, and once it’s damaged, an injury can recur, and that could be the case with Sterling.

What James Tavernier can now prove to Danny Rohl
If Sterling is indeed the man who has picked up an injury, he may struggle to regain fitness and player another game for the Bears this season.
He started against Hearts, but skipper James Tavernier was his replacement, as many supporters have questioned why he doesn’t start in the first place.
- Tavernier has played 26 times for Gers in the league this season
- Only 19 of them have been starts
Rohl has stressed the importance of rotating the right-back given his age, but the captain will be out to prove a point.
Tavernier will want to show the Rangers boss that he can, in fact, play week in week out without a rest, and what better way to do it than by leading the Bears to a second league title under his captaincy.
