Rangers fans have no idea as crazy title verdict emerges in bonkers season

Rangers, Celtic and Hearts fans have no idea the way the William Hill Premiership is going to go this season.

Ryan Stevenson believes that while the Gers supporters will be confident about their team’s prospects, the campaign is turning out to be bonkers.

As things stand, the Light Blues are two points behind the Jam Tarts after beating them 4-2 at Ibrox on 15 February, courtesy of a Youssef Chermiti hat-trick.

Celtic are a point behind their Old Firm rivals but have a game in hand, and the top-six split will surely be crazier in determining who comes out on top.

Danny Rohl has one Rangers guarantee in William Hill Premiership.

Not many would’ve given the Gers a chance to turn the tide in the William Hill Premiership under Danny Rohl after Russell Martin’s disastrous start to the season.

Fans in G51 were revolting against the manager, players and hierarchy at one point, with the former Sheffield Wednesday boss coming into a disjointed environment at Ibrox.

The German head coach has arguably done the unthinkable after losing just one of his 19 league games in charge of the Light Blues, leaving them on the cusp of glory.

Writing in the Daily Record on 19 February, Stevenson said, “Yes, the Celtic fans will believe their side is showing the resilience to dig out late winners and they’ll see that as a sign that the trophy is staying put at Parkhead. Rangers supporters, on the other hand, will look at Sunday’s win over Hearts and convince themselves that they’re now the strongest, most in-form side of the three.”

The former Hearts ace added, “And Hearts fans like myself will cling to the belief that this is their season and that it’s been written in the stars all along. But the truth is, not one of us has a Scooby. Because this season has been bonkers — and it’s going to get even more crazy over the course of the next few months. That’s the only certainty.”

Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises deserve a lot of credit for how things have gone at the Glaswegian outfit, as they didn’t hesitate to back Rohl in the winter transfer window despite Kevin Thelwell’s evident recruitment failure last summer.

Ibrox chiefs will be confident of title glory if Danny Rohl gets past one hurdle

Motherwell could potentially be the kingmakers in the William Hill Premiership, with the top three teams experiencing difficulty against them in recent matches.

Jens Berthel Askou has built a team that dominate possession and pose a consistent threat, with Rangers getting a taste of it in the 1-1 draw at Fir Park a few weeks back.

The Steelmen are likely to finish in the top six and will surely have a big say in who wins the league title at the end of the season.

If Rohl can finally get one over Motherwell towards the end of the campaign, they may finally end their five-year wait for the William Hill Premiership.
