Jed York shares what is ‘special’ about Rangers after what he’s recently seen under Danny Rohl
Rangers investor Jed York has praised the special turnaround at Ibrox under Danny Rohl.
Rohl’s side cut the gap to league leaders Hearts to just two points last time out in the Scottish Premiership, with a 4-2 win against their rivals at Ibrox.
After a tough start to the season with Russell Martin at the helm, the German coach has revitalised Rangers, who have thrown themselves back into the title picture heading into the final months.
This has impressed co-owner York, whose 49ers Enterprises group purchased a majority stake in the Govan club last year.
With the Bears fighting for the title in the American’s first year at the helm, York has expressed his delight regarding the current situation.

Jed York expresses delight at current Rangers form
Unbeaten in 10 Scottish Premiership outings, Rangers are now firmly in the title picture, alongside Hearts and Celtic.
And it was a visit to his first Old Firm earlier in the season that he picked out when talking about his adoration for the overall involvement in football.
“There’s nothing like going to see a Rangers match,” York told TalkSPORT at the Fanatics red carpet in San Francisco.
“I was at my first Old Firm match earlier this season for a draw,” he added. “It was truly a special experience.”
Sitting sixth in the Scottish Premiership upon his arrival, Rohl has transformed Rangers – firing them well and truly into the title picture.
“Watching Rangers get back up and trying to fight, compete and hold their own, it’s been special,” said York on the Light Blues’ form this term.
“We’re hoping we can have a lot more success.”
Taking majority control of the Glasgow giant last year, the 49ers group also have full control of Premier League side Leeds, who are looking to secure their top-flight safety following promotion from the Championship last May.
Rangers form could spark perfect end to 49ers first full season
As of now, it is too tight to call just who will lift the title come May.
However, Rangers have left themselves in an ideal position heading into the season’s crunch point, with just two points seperating themselves and Derek McInnes’ Hearts, who have been mightily impressive this term.

The coming weeks could well define the race, and Rangers have gotten off to the perfect start with the win against Hearts.
Rohl’s side travel to Livingston on Sunday, before back-to-back clashes against arch rivals Celtic in both the league and cup.
These two clashes in particular could make all the difference and place one of the current top sides in pole position to claim the title.
For Rangers, it would secure the perfect end to their new ownership group’s first full season in charge, something that didn’t look possible before Rohl arrived.
