‘Rangers failure guaranteed if Danny Rohl sticks with Youssef Chermiti’

Rangers won’t win the William Hill Premiership if Danny Rohl doesn’t stop relying on Youssef Chermiti.

Award-winning journalist Mark Guidi believes the Gers will fail to catch up to Hearts if the German manager continues to stick with the former Everton striker.

The Light Blues dropped two crucial points against Motherwell at Fir Park on 11 February after Celtic loanee Stephen Welsh scored an 89th-minute equaliser for the hosts.

Rohl started Chermiti up front in North Lanarkshire and the Portugal Under-21 international once again failed to convert some of the opportunities he had in the game to extend the Glaswegian outfit’s lead.

Ryan Naderi solution stares Danny Rohl in the face at Rangers

Ryan Naderi has already shown he’s capable of making an impact at the Gers with his size, physicality and finishing ability.

The Light Blues spent £5.3million to sign the German centre-forward immediately in the winter transfer window, and it’s now up to Rohl to utilise his strengths at Ibrox.

Chermiti has been given plenty of opportunities to prove himself at the Glaswegian outfit after a big-money move from the Premier League, but he hasn’t been a reliable outlet in G51.

Speaking on the Go Radio Football Show on 12 February, Guidi said, “Whether you give Naderi the run, you’ve got Miovski, but you need to take Chermiti out of the team. If Rohl sticks with Chermiti, Rangers will not win the league.”

Bojan Miovski has also been unable to consistently perform for the Glaswegian outfit since moving to Govan from Girona last summer.

Naderi is the obvious solution to Rohl’s problems and the 22-year-old needs to be given opportunities to prove himself.

Danny Rohl risks Ibrox fury after what he’s done

Rohl has struggled to dominate many games against the top sides in the William Hill Premiership this season, with Motherwell controlling the tempo for most of the 90 minutes at Fir Park.

Fans are slowly starting to question some of the German manager’s decisions despite him turning the tide at Rangers.

While the former Sheffield Wednesday boss has done a great job since replacing Russell Martin, it’s now up to him to take the Gers to the next level.

The Ibrox faithful are behind Rohl for now, but it won’t take long for them to turn on him, as seen with the likes of Philippe Clement.
