Nicolas Raskin amazing, Youssef Chermiti has shocker – Rangers player ratings vs Motherwell
Rangers failed to secure a win against Motherwell in the William Hill Premiership on Wednesday.
Danny Rohl’s team travelled to Fir Park on 11 February, with Nicolas Raskin giving the Gers an early lead after being played in behind the opposition defence by Mohamed Diomande.
The Steelmen controlled the game for most of the opening 45 minutes, dominating possession and creating several opportunities, but the German manager made a few tweaks to curb that dominance.
Lukas Fadinger was then sent off in the 78th minute after a VAR review for his challenge on Mikey Moore, and despite going a man down, Stephen Welsh scored in the 89th minute to break the travelling supporters’ hearts in the 1-1 draw.

Nicolas Raskin exceptional in Rangers draw vs Motherwell
Raskin hasn’t been at his best this season by any means, but he’s still one of the best players at Rohl’s disposal.
The midfielder had one of his most influential games of the season, starting with scoring a goal for the Gers.
Subsequently, with the Steelmen threatening the Light Blues on several occasions, the Belgium international put in a crucial defensive effort, with his clearance off the line in the first half sensational.
Raskin was a commanding presence and seemed to have more room to showcase his abilities with Tochi Chukwuani next to him in the middle of the park.

Youssef Chermiti has another stinker at Fir Park
Youssef Chermiti has had an underwhelming spell at the Gers since moving from Everton last summer, and fans are right to be frustrated with the striker after the amount of money that was spent on him.
The Portugal Under-21 international has failed to consistently perform for the Ibrox side, and his finishing in front of goal has been poor.
Chermiti had the opportunity to double the lead in the first half after an error from the Motherwell defence, and while he did run in behind the Steelmen’s defence on a few occasions, his play in the final third wasn’t good enough, eventually costing his team.

The 21-year-old can’t expect to get opportunities from Rohl time and again if he can’t repay the manager’s faith, with Ryan Naderi and Bojan Miovski ready to take his place.
