Mike Dean disgusted by Motherwell vs Rangers incident: ‘Terrible, awful’
Mike Dean was not impressed by Lukas Fadinger’s red-card challenge on Mikey Moore in Rangers’ 1-1 draw with Motherwell on Wednesday.
The Bears travelled to Fir Park, which proved to be a difficult place to go once again in the Scottish Premiership.
Nicolas Raskin gave the Gers the lead before Celtic loanee Stephen Welsh scored a late equaliser to break the visitors’ hearts.
However, Danny Rohl may be disappointed that his side didn’t take full advantage of an extra man in the last 15 minutes of the game.

Mike Dean calls Lukas Fadinger’s challenge an ‘awful’ tackle
Motherwell were banging on the door the whole of the second 45, and Jens Berthel Askou may even think that his side could have come away with all three points had his team finished with 11 men on the field.
But there doesn’t seem to be much disagreement with the overruling of Fadinger’s yellow, which then turned into his dismissal from the match, after VAR intervened.
Referee Steven McLean initially gave Fadinger a yellow card for the foul on Moore in the second half, but Dean didn’t agree with the official’s first call, explaining why VAR were right to get involved.
While speaking live on Sky Sports News, Dean said: “It’s an awful challenge, it’s speed, intensity, even though it’s low, studs have gone into his ankle. It’s a terrible challenge.
“Correctly, VAR has got involved, it’s a red card. 100 per cent correct decision.”
Now, it’s back to the drawing board for the Bears, who have dropped huge points in the race for the Scottish Premiership.

Second-half stats vs Motherwell prove real issue for Rangers
Rangers had 36 per cent possession at Fir Park in the second 45, which simply isn’t good enough for a side chasing the title.
Yes, the Steelmen are solid on their own patch, but Rohl’s men were unable to create a single big chance in the last 45 minutes.
Perhaps the German head coach will shuffle things around next time out in the league, as ig questions will now be asked of Youssef Chermiti following a big first-half miss.
The substitutes came far too late, and as a result, the Bears were punished for it in the most typical way possible, with Celtic winning their game late on.
