Rangers vs Motherwell preview: Team news, lineups, prediction
Rangers take on Motherwell at Fir Park on Wednesday evening in another crucial game in the Scottish Premiership title race.
Danny Rohl’s side are currently three points behind table-topping Hearts, but Derek McInnes’ side have the opportunity to stretch that advantage in the Edinburgh derby on Tuesday night.
Rangers demolished Queen’s Park 8-0 in the Scottish Cup last Sunday, so come into the game full of confidence.
However, Motherwell have won five of their last six in all competitions and are having an impressive season themselves, so could prove to be a tough test for the Gers.

Head-to-head
This will be the Gers’ second trip to Fir Park this season, following a 1-1 draw with Jens Berthel Askou’s side on the opening day of the campaign, when Russell Martin was still in charge.
Rangers did beat Motherwell 1-0 back in December, with Thelo Aasgaard scoring the only goal of the contest at Ibrox.
The Glasgow giants haven’t been beaten at Fir Park since 2015, and will be hoping to keep their 11-year streak alive on Wednesday.
However, they have only won three of the last seven meetings between the two sides, so they will have to be on top form to secure a crucial three points.

Team news and predicted lineups
Danny Rohl will make a number of changes from the win over Queen’s Park, but some may have done enough to earn a spot in the starting lineup on Wednesday evening.
Tuur Rommens, Ryan Naderi and Tochi Chukwuani were all superb last weekend and could find themselves back in the team for the trip to Fir Park.
Emmanuel Fernandez has returned from injury and will likely slot straight back into the centre of defence.

Elsewhere, Andreas Skov Olsen could be preferred in the number 10 position, as Aasgaard continues to struggle.

Prediction: Motherwell 1-1 Rangers
Rangers have struggled slightly away from Ibrox in recent weeks, losing 3-1 to Porto in the Europa League and only managing a 0-0 draw with Hibernian in the Scottish Premiership.
It will be another tough trip for Rohl’s side on Wednesday evening, and the pressure is ramping up in the race for the title.
Given Motherwell’s current form, losing only once in their last 15 games, a draw wouldn’t be the worst result of all time.
That defeat did come away at Rangers, though, so Gers fans will be expecting all three points once again.
However, Rohl’s side may have to settle for just one at Fir Park.
