Danny Rohl makes Jayden Meghoma call as five dropped – Rangers predicted XI vs Motherwell
Rangers get back to business in the Scottish Premiership on Wednesday when they face off with Motherwell at Fir Park.
Danny Rohl watched his side thump Queen’s Park on Sunday in an 8-0 victory at Ibrox that saw the Bears advance to the Quarter-finals of the Scottish Cup.
The German head coach was surely left impressed by some individual displays, and will almost certainly change his eleven that started in the 5-1 win over Kilmarnock last time out in the league.
The Gers are entering the final stretch of fixtures in their quest to claim the Scottish Premiership title, and Rohl needs to do everything that he can to keep his squad fit and healthy.
Motherwell will be no easy task, and the Rangers boss will need to shake things up to take down a side who are unbeaten in their last six.
Danny Rohl makes five big changes from Kilmarnock game
Rohl shared injury updates ahead of the game against Motherwell, confirming that Max Aarons will be unavailable.
The Gers boss has, however, been given a boost by the return of Youssef Chermiti and Emmanuel Fernandez, with the latter set to replace Nasser Djiga in the backline.
The side that played against Kilmarnock could do no wrong, but Tuur Rommens has surely now forced his way into the lineup over Jayden Meghoma.
Bojan Miovski also started against Killie and scored, but Ryan Naderi’s amazing full debut against Queen’s Park proved that he cannot be sat on the bench come Wednesday.
Thelo Aasgaard was hooked after an hour last time out in the league, and Andreas Skov Olsen is primed to return to the eleven in central attacking midfield.

Tochi Chukwuani’s display at the weekend simply demands a starting spot, and Rohl could find the perfect midfield balance with him and Nicolas Raskin, but at the expense of Mohamed Diomande.
Apart from that, Rohl should keep everything else the same regarding the side that steamrolled Killie, as the tweaks could be game-changing.
The key problem that Rangers have to overcome vs Motherwell
Motherwell have won five of their last six games in all competitions, including a 2-0 win at home over Celtic.
Jens Berthel Askou has done a tremendous job of making his side one that is ever so difficult to beat. But not only that, a team that’s hard to score past.
The Steelmen have the best defence in the division, having only conceded 17 times, and only once in their last six games, which was in the Scottish Cup.
Opposition teams are struggling to create chances against Motherwell at the moment, but Rangers are coming into the game having put 13 past their last two opponents combined.
It’s a huge challenge for Rohl’s men, and one that needs to be successful in the fight for the glory.
