Rangers told to get on phone to Tottenham ASAP after remarkable Mikey Moore twist
Rangers’ quest for Scottish league title number 56 took a huge step as they clawed back three points on leaders Hearts, with Tottenham loanee Mikey Moore playing his part.
Danny Rohl’s side capitalised on the Edinburgh club’s 1-0 loss to St Mirren by securing an emphatic 5-1 win over Kilmarnock.
There were plenty of positives for the Gers manager, with new signing Ryan Naderi impressing quickly in Scotland.
Additionally, Oliver Antman shone for Rangers with his cameo off the substitutes’ bench.
However, the performance of Moore may have been the biggest takeaway, especially for one Ibrox legend.

Barry Ferguson eager for Mikey Moore to extend Rangers loan
Moore’s start to life at Ibrox was poor, and overall it looked like the loan deal for the young talent was not going to work out.
The winger fell out of the plans in G51, and his game time began to drop. Moore’s agent even publicly spoke on his playing time struggles earlier in the season.
However, over the last few weeks, the Spurs loanee has been showcasing just why he is regarded as top talent in what can be considered a real twist to his Ibrox career.
Moore was exceptional against Kilmarnock, registering both a goal and an assist in the 5-1 thrashing.
His performance has been earning praise, which has led to former Rangers captain Barry Ferguson urging the Bears to do one thing.
Writing for the Daily Record, Ferguson said: “If it was down to me I’d be on the blower to Spurs this morning asking to have that chat.
“And while I fully understand there will probably be a lot of ‘ifs buts and maybes’ around the discussion, I’d be making a very strong case for the two clubs agreeing another 12-month loan deal to keep the young man in Glasgow next season.”
Ferguson is not the only former Gers man who believes that should happen, as Alan Hutton wants Moore to stay at Ibrox longer too.
Tottenham may want Mikey Moore back next season
Overall, guaranteed minutes at Ibrox would likely be best for Moore’s development, unless Tottenham are able to provide him the same level of trust in the starting lineup.
The player is already shining in Scotland, and with more gametime, he is only going to get better.
However, with Moore impressing out on loan, it could be hard for Rangers to strike another loan agreement for the player.
Spurs are light in attackers at the moment, and if they are happy with the 18-year-old’s progress, they could look to use him more next season.
It will certainly be a big decision for both the player and his parent club, and if it is decided that another loan is the right move, Rangers need to make sure they are in for him once again.
