BBC Sportsound pundit shares what he noticed about Ryan Naderi in Rangers debut vs Kilmarnock
Ryan Naderi made his Rangers debut against Kilmarnock on Wednesday.
Naderi signed for Rangers from Hansa Rostock on deadline day as Danny Rohl landed one of his many striker targets at Ibrox.
After a deal fell through for Cameron Archer at Rangers, a move for the German was accelerated, ready for him to feature in the Scottish Premiership immediately.
The striker has now featured for the first time in Govan, coming off the bench as Rangers secured a 5-1 win against Kilmarnock.
Naderi picked up positive reviews for his cameo as the Bears were shown flashes of what the winter signing can do.
Ryan Naderi attribute picked out vs Kilmarnock
Rangers have put plenty of faith in Naderi, especially for a forward coming out of the German third division.
Two seasons in the 3. Liga saw the striker net 13 goals, but it appears that Rohl has taken a shine to the former Borussia Monchengladbach youngster.
The Ibrox faithful are getting behind the 22-year-old and were excited to see him come off the bench in the 5-1 Kilmarnock victory.
The German didn’t get on the scoresheet in the end, but goals from James Tavernier, Bojan Miovski, Jonas Skov Olsen, Oliver Antman and Mikey Moore were enough to seal an emphatic victory.
Naderi still managed to catch the eye of BBC Sportsound pundit Rory Loy, who was a massive fan of his pressing while off the ball against Killie.
He said: “Naderi’s work rate is infectious. That’s about three times he has chased; his initial reaction is excellent, and it has kept attacks alive for Rangers.“
Rangers fans want to see more of Naderi
There will be hope that the young German can continue that sort of productivity for the long-term after a promising debut.
The Govan faithful will want to see goals from their winter signing, but if he puts in the effort, they will surely follow.
His willingness to get in and around the Kilmarnock defenders and make things difficult certainly had an impact and will make a difference moving forward.

Naderi just needs to keep up this sort of level and showcase it every week while also adding more goals to his game in G51.
Rohl wanted him and will be hopeful that he can get the most out of the striker moving deeper into the campaign.
