Rangers’ chances for Hjerto-Dahl transfer revealed in ‘imminent’ update – ‘I’ve heard…’
Rangers’ pursuit of Tromso’s Jens Hjerto-Dahl will come to a conclusion one way or another.
Danny Rohl has welcomed multiple new faces to Ibrox in recent weeks, with Ryan Naderi the final addition for the German head coach.
But it seems like the Bears haven’t stopped progressing for future transfers as Hjerto-Dahl appears to be of interest to Rohl, with new reports suggesting Gers have already made a move for the midfielder.
However, Scott McDermott appears to have a good understanding of how advanced a deal is for the 20-year-old.

Scott McDermott says Jens Hjerto-Dahl deal is not imminent
There have been reports saying Hjerto-Dahl is close to agreeing personal terms with Rangers ahead of a permanent move in the summer.
Tromso are also said to value the creative youngster at around £6million, which would top the Bears’ most expensive piece of business done in the winter with Naderi.
- Reports have claimed that Dahl would be on a £16,000 per week salary at Ibrox
- That works out as £867,000 per year
But, there is a possibility that the Norwegian’s form may have upped Tromso’s asking price for the Norwegian starlet.
While speaking live on the Daily Record’s Hotline Live on Tuesday, McDermott explained why Hjerto-Dahl may not be as close to a move to Ibrox as people think.
McDermott said: “From what I’ve heard this morning, it looks to me like there’s so much interest in this boy; Besiktas and Lazio haven’t been able to get a deal done.
“But, because of that interest, it’s hyped his price right up. I wouldn’t totally dismiss it in the summer, I think it could be revisited, but it’s nothing that’s kind of imminent at the moment.”
If Rangers were, however, able to do the unthinkable and complete a turnaround in the Scottish Premiership, then they could be the more attractive option for Hjerto-Dahl over other suitors.

What Rangers now have over Hearts
Rangers are approaching the ever exciting run in of the league, and just nine games remain in the Scottish Premiership.
After game week 24, the Bears sit level on 48 points with Celtic, and are not far behind Hearts at all.
Celtic have once again steadied the ship with Martin O’Neill and the Hoops may actually be a bit of an unknown threat now considering their new additions.
However, Rangers are much stronger in depth than Hearts, and will continue to creep up on the Jambos as the weeks draw in.
Rohl has quality and strength in depth with his new arrivals, and the Bears have swiftly improved in the areas they needed to most. Hjerto-Dahl could truly come to Ibrox, should Rangers get over the line and gain even more of a financial boost.
