How to watch Rangers vs Kilmarnock clash: TV channel, live stream, kick-off time

Rangers entertain Kilmarnock on Wednesday night as they seek to close the gap on leaders Hearts.

After six straight Scottish Premiership wins, Rangers drew 0-0 with Hibernian on Sunday in a game they were fortunate to get a result from.

That result saw Celtic edge ahead of them into second on goals scored, while Hearts went six points clear at the top.

However, Hearts’ shock 1-0 loss to St. Mirren on Tuesday has given Danny Rohl’s side a chance to cut that gap to three at Ibrox.

New Rangers signing Ryan Naderi could make his debut, and ahead of this contest, Ibrox News has highlighted everything you need to know before the action gets underway.

Where to watch Rangers vs Kilmarnock

Rangers will be without midfielder Connor Barron due to a knee injury, while centre-back Derek Cornelius is sidelined with a muscle problem.

Aaron Tshibola could feature after re-joining Kilmarnock, but utility player Jamie Brandon and goalkeeper Max Stryjek are working their way back to fitness. Kyle Magennis (knee), Djenairo Daniels (knee), and winger Matty Kennedy (hip) are all unavailable.

So, when is the game on? Third-placed Rangers host 11th-positioned Kilmarnock at Ibrox in the Scottish Premiership at 7.45 pm on Wednesday, 2 February.

The match has not been chosen for TV coverage in the United Kingdom, but highlights will be televised on Sportscene on BBC One Scotland at 10.40 pm.

The encounter will be streamed live within the UK on Rangers TV, where £9.99 pay-per-view passes are available for purchase.

David Dickinson is refereeing the game, and his assistant referees are Jonathan Bell and Gordon Crawford. On VAR duty is Chris Graham, who is being assisted by Frank Connor.

Hearts open the door for Rangers and Celtic

Hearts suffered just their third defeat of the league season on Tuesday to open the door for Celtic and Rangers to catch up.

Rangers host Killie, while Celtic are away to seventh-placed Aberdeen on Wednesday evening. On paper, the Gers have the easier game tonight.

Rohl’s team have picked up 13 points from a possible 15, while Kilmarnock have won just once in their last five matches – although they did win last time out.

Rangers have won each of their last nine home league meetings with Killie, with an aggregate scoreline of 25-4. That is their longest win streak at home in the league versus any current top-flight opponent.

Kilmarnock have lost 13 of their last 15 league matches against Rangers (winning two), including their last four on the trot.

Rohl has done superbly to get Rangers back into a title race, and now he will hope they don’t slip up against the underdogs on home turf.
