Rangers have summer signing lined up already: Fee agreed, personal terms almost done
Rangers are already preparing for next season after the winter transfer window slammed shut.
After weeks of trying, Ryan Naderi finally joined as Rangers’ last signing just before deadline day (2 February) came to a conclusion.
Danny Rohl will hope to call upon the big striker soon, as he joins fellow new recruits Andreas Skov Olsen, Tochi Chukwuani, and Tuur Rommens at Ibrox.
Rangers were linked with Southampton’s Cameron Archer but that move didn’t come to pass due to Naderi’s capture and Saints striker Adam Armstrong joining Wolves.
Although the dust is still settling from the latest transfer window, reports suggest Rangers have already sealed a summer recruit ahead of next season.
Rangers reach Jens Hjerto-Dahl transfer breakthrough
Rangers have been tracking Tromso star Jens Hjerto-Dahl for some time but in the end, they couldn’t secure his signature in the winter window.
However, on 3 February, Italian sports journalist Marco Conterio said Hjerto-Dahl was one step away from joining Rangers.
Besiktas had been keen on the 6ft 4in midfielder but it seems the Scottish giants are the frontrunners for his signature, with him to arrive in the summer transfer window.
Conterio stated that the 20-year-old would receive a £867,000 net salary, which works out at a £16,000-per-week deal at Rangers. Now, it seems this agreement is all but finalised.
Conterio later said that a deal is “done” between Rangers and Norwegian side Tromso, a club Hjerto-Dahl has been at since 2011.
All that is left to sort now is personal terms with the Norway Under-21 international ahead of the 2026-27 season. Sometimes, it pays to plan ahead.

Will Rangers’ new signings propel them to Scottish Premiership title?
Following Rangers’ disappointing goalless draw with Hibernian on Sunday, Rohl’s side dropped to third in the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic are now ahead of them on goals scored, while leaders Hearts are six points clear at the top of the table.
Rangers went on a six-game winning run before the Hibs stalemate, but as we enter the final third of the season, one cause for concern is their relative lack of goals.
Hibernian, Hearts, and Celtic have all outscored Rangers this season, suggesting they need more firepower up front.

Right-back James Tavernier is once again their top scorer with six league goals but Rangers fans hope Naderi, among others, can enhance their firepower in the coming months.
This season is wide open, evidenced by the Old Firm teams falling behind unlikely pacesetters Hearts. If Rangers want to win their first league title since 2021, goals may be the currency for success.
