This is what Rangers really think about Youssef Chermiti as £13m bid rejected
Youssef Chermiti has had a mixed start to life at Rangers.
Chermiti joined Rangers for £10million from Everton back in September, and has taken a while to get going at Ibrox.
Kevin Thelwell’s expensive gamble hasn’t paid off yet, and the underlying stats highlight that the 21-year-old hasn’t got what it takes to succeed in Govan.
Chermiti has often struggled for Rangers, although his brace in the Old Firm derby on 3 January has certainly bought him some leeway with the fans.
The Bears desperately need a clinical striker, and their stance on Chermiti’s future has been revealed in the final days of the transfer window.

Youssef Chermiti not for sale as Rangers reject £13m bid
Rangers are looking to sign a new striker before the transfer deadline on 2 February.
However, Chermiti will remain in Govan, despite receiving interest from elsewhere in Europe.
Rangers Review journalist Chris Jack reported on 27 January that Fenerbahce have made a £13m bid for the Portuguese forward.
The Bears instantly rejected it, and they view the 21-year-old as someone who isn’t for sale.
He still has a lot of room to develop, and sanctioning the departure of a key striker with so little time left in the winter transfer window doesn’t seem wise.
Of course, Rangers fans haven’t seen enough from him yet, and making a profit on Chermiti seemed implausible in October.
It’s up to the striker to prove why Danny Rohl places so much faith in him, and he needs to start adding some consistency to his game.
Danny Rohl sees a lot of promising qualities in Chermiti
Danilo looks set to leave Rangers, with Hansa Rostock striker Ryan Naderi looking like the obvious man to replace him.
Chermiti is in the clear for now, and although he was signed by Russell Martin, Rohl clearly likes a lot of his qualities.
His goalscoring form has yet to take off, but his hold-up play and athleticism have proven to be a nightmare for opposition defenders.

Before moving to G51 in the summer, he hadn’t scored a senior goal since 2023, and Everton would have been laughing at the fee they received for him.
However, just six months later, the Bears had the chance to make a profit on him.
If he can put together a decent run of form, then his value would rise even more, and it’s clear he has a lot of potential.
For now, he has the chance to play a huge part in the title race if he can find his shooting boots.
