Rangers star Max Aarons sends four-word message as Norwich complete transfer
Rangers are on a brilliant run of form right now, but loanee Max Aarons is dropping down the pecking order under Danny Rohl.
The Gers have now won eight games in a row across all competitions, but the full-back has started just twice in that time, in the Europa League and Scottish Cup.
Aarons was an unused substitute on Sunday afternoon as Rangers beat Dundee 3-0 at Ibrox to move within four points of league leaders Hearts in the Scottish Premiership.
James Tavernier opened the scoring from the penalty spot, with Danilo and Djeidi Gassama both finding the back of the net in second-half stoppage time to secure all three points for the Glasgow outfit.
Max Aarons reacts to confirmed Norwich transfer
Aarons joined Rangers on loan from Bournemouth over the summer, aiming to resurrect his career after a difficult 2024-25 campaign.
However, like much of the Gers squad, the 26-year-old struggled at the start of the season under Russell Martin.
Aarons was heavily criticised for being sent off against Club Brugge, with Jayden Meghoma taking over ever since that Champions League nightmare.
While going through a difficult spell of his own, Aarons has reacted to some confirmed transfer news regarding his former club, Norwich City.
The Canaries have signed Paris Maghoma from Brentford on a three-and-a-half-year deal, and the midfielder announced the transfer on Instagram.
Aarons, who spent seven years at Carrow Road, was quick to give Maghoma some support, commenting: “Let’s go, my boy.”
Could Max Aarons leave Rangers before transfer deadline?
Aarons’ poor form and lack of game time in recent weeks have sparked rumours about his immediate future at Ibrox.
The full-back is on loan at Rangers from Bournemouth until the end of the season, though, and there is no reason for Rohl’s side to terminate the deal early.
The Gers are locked in a fierce Scottish Premiership title fight with both Celtic and Hearts, so they will not want to weaken their squad in any way this month.

Aarons looks almost certain to remain in Glasgow, but will return to the south coast when his loan expires, as Rangers don’t hold an option or obligation to buy.
