Rangers submit bid to seal deadline-busting striker transfer, he wants to join now

Rangers have been incredibly active in the winter transfer window and they have now made an official bid for a new striker target.

Danny Rohl’s side are eyeing their fourth signing of the month, after already sealing deals for Tochi Chukwuani, Tuur Rommens, and Andreas Skov Olsen.

Rangers are now firmly in the Scottish Premiership title race after beating Dundee 3-0 on Sunday, with goals from James Tavernier, Danilo, and Djeidi Gassama.

The Gers sit just four points behind leaders Hearts in the table, and are beginning to turn the screw in the transfer market as they look to strengthen their squad for the run-in.

Rangers submit bid for Ryan Naderi

According to Florian Plettenberg, Rangers have submitted a £2.6million bid for Hansa Rostock striker Ryan Naderi.

The 22-year-old, who currently plays in the German third tier, is reportedly keen on a move to Ibrox.

Negotiations between the two clubs are now ongoing with the hope of reaching an agreement before the end of the transfer window.

Naderi spent three years at Borussia Monchengladbach between 2021 and 2024, before making the move to Rostock.

The young forward has eight goals and five assists from 17 league games this term in 3. Bundesliga.

Ryan Naderi move could seal exit for Rangers striker

Rohl has struggled to find a first-choice striker during his time at Ibrox, with no one staking a claim to be the full-time centre-forward.

The former Sheffield Wednesday boss has rotated between Danilo, Bojan Miovski, and Youssef Chermiti, and while each have had moments of magic, there has been a distinct lack of consistency.

If Naderi does come through the door in the next week, then Rohl may have to offload one of the underperforming trio.

Danilo has been linked with a Rangers exit and is the subject of interest from Dutch side NEC Nijmegen.

While it is unlikely to be a permanent departure for the Brazilian forward, he could join the Eredivisie outfit on loan.
