Hamza Igamane sends one-word message to exit-linked Rangers star after latest win vs Dundee

Rangers continued their impressive winning run under Danny Rohl with a victory against Dundee on Sunday afternoon.

James Tavernier, Danilo, and Djeidi Gassama all got on the scoresheet as Rangers beat Dundee 3-0 at Ibrox.

With Celtic drawing 2-2 with Hearts in a chaotic game at Tynecastle, Rohl’s side have moved above their Glasgow rivals and now sit second in the Scottish Premiership.

The Gers, who have won eight consecutive games across all competitions, are also just four points behind Derek McInnes’ side.

Danilo finally back on the scoresheet

Danilo has struggled this season for Rangers and had only managed two Scottish Premiership goals all season before Sunday’s game against Dundee.

The 26-year-old was once again left on the bench by Rohl, but replaced Bojan Miovski with 10 minutes to play, with the Gers still only 1-0 up.

He made his impact once on the pitch, latching onto a loose pass by Dundee substitute Joe Bevan and curling into the far corner from the edge of the area.

Danilo was then involved in the build-up for the third goal just three minutes later, linking up with Nicolas Raskin before Gassama finished beautifully.

After the game, the Brazilian took to Instagram to post a photo of himself celebrating the goal, with the caption: “All praise to God for every blessing in my life”

Hamza Igamane, who left Rangers to join Lille last summer, was quick to show support for his former teammate in the comments, saying: “Dani” with a couple of emojis.

Could Danilo still leave Rangers?

Danilo has been linked with a Rangers exit for some time now as a result of his poor form so far this term.

The forward has only started six Scottish Premiership games all season, and most of them came at the start of Rohl’s time in charge.

In fact, Danilo has now only started once in the league over the last two months, playing 77 minutes in the 2-2 draw with Dundee United at the beginning of December.

Danilo stats

However, the Brazilian is still no closer to leaving, and it seems that there is currently no interest in him.

Danilo may now end up staying until the end of the season, so Rangers fans will hope he can continue to contribute in front of goal.
