‘Danny Rohl works miracle’ as two more Rangers transfers on cards before deadline
Danny Rohl has been heavily backed by Andrew Cavenagh in the winter transfer window.
Andreas Skov Olsen has been Rangers’ statement signing of the month so far after joining on loan from German outfit Wolfsburg.
Tochi Chukwuani and Tuur Rommens have also arrived in January, with Rohl desperate to add depth to his midfield and left-back options.
However, despite the new signings, there are still gaps in this Rangers squad that can be addressed before the deadline on 2 February.

Danny Rohl needs one or two more signings to win the Scottish Premiership
Rohl has done an excellent job at Rangers, and Cavenagh has recognised that he needs new players if the Bears are to go on and win a once-unlikely Scottish Premiership title.
Writing in the print edition of the Daily Record on Monday, Keith Jackson was full of praise for Rohl’s impact at Rangers, but warned that more is needed.
He said: “He’s worked a minor miracle to claw his way back into the title fight with what little Russell Martin left behind.
| Rohl | Stat | Martin |
| 22 | Games managed | 17 |
| 14 | Wins | 5 |
| 3 | Draws | 6 |
| 5 | Losses | 6 |
| 63.64 | Win percentage | 29.41 |
“However, he could do with one or two more decent reinforcements if he’s to turn all this hard work into something tangible.”
They currently sit four points behind league leaders Hearts after beating Dundee 3-0 at Ibrox on Sunday.
Martin’s reign at Rangers was completely disastrous, and it must be remembered that Rohl still hasn’t had a chance to build his own squad yet.
While Skov Olsen and Chukwuani have already shown what they are capable of, the Light Blues could do with more additions to their squad.
However, this may all depend on whether they can sell enough players.
Rangers have done a good job of letting players go
Lyall Cameron has joined Aberdeen on loan, where he can now gain more minutes on the pitch, already impressing at Pittodrie.
Dowell has left Rangers for a move to Hull City, and the Championship outfit were relentless in their pursuit of the 28-year-old.
Findlay Curtis is also expected to join Kilmarnock on loan, and it’s allowed for the likes of Skov Olsen and Chukwuani to settle into life in Govan.
With Danilo still on course to leave before the deadline, it paves the way for another striker signing.
As we approach the end of the winter transfer window, Rohl’s side could definitely be active.
