Danny Rohl to use influence for Dani Rodriguez signing from Barcelona at Rangers
Rangers could potentially make a move for Barcelona winger Dani Rodriguez in the winter transfer window.
The Blaugrana are looking to send the 20-year-old out on loan in January, and the Gers have been suggested as one of the contenders for his signature.
Andreas Skov Olsen has already arrived at Ibrox, with the Wolfsburg loanee signing for the Light Blues until the end of the season, but the deal includes an option to buy him permanently.
Danny Rohl expects further backing from Andrew Cavenagh in January, and the German manager may turn his focus to the reigning LaLiga champions.
Danny Rohl to use Hansi Flick connection for Dani Rodriguez transfer at Rangers
Rohl could possibly use his relationship with Hansi Flick to sign Rodriguez on loan from Barcelona, Gavin Berry says.
The Daily Record journalist named the Spain Under-21 international as someone whose signing would blow fans away at Ibrox.
Having made his way through the coveted La Masia academy, the left-footed forward has mostly played for the Catalan side’s B team, showing immense potential.
Speaking on the Game On podcast on 23 January, Berry said, “I was thinking of his relationship with Flick, now at Barcelona, and of course, Rohl worked with him at Germany and Bayern Munich. And they have a 20-year-old winger they are looking to send out on loan, Rodriguez.”
Rohl did hint at a marquee signing at Ibrox, but it’s safe to say that Rodriguez, who has made just one appearance for Barcelona’s first team, wouldn’t necessarily excite fans in G51.
The developments at the Govan side will be one to keep a close eye on as the 2 February deadline approaches fast.
49ers Enterprises to surprise Ibrox faithful after Celtic snub
Joel Piroe’s potential move to Celtic has been played down due to the 49ers Enterprises’ stakes in Leeds United and the Gers.
Rangers fans will surely be up in arms if Paraag Marathe aids their Old Firm rivals in any way in January.

With the Light Blues looking for a reliable goalscorer, the Suriname international would certainly be a decent target for them after scoring 19 goals in the Championship last season.
The Glaswegian outfit are in need of a capable number nine, and supporters in G51 will be even happier if the 49ers can facilitate Piroe’s move to Ibrox after snubbing Celtic.
