Rangers vs Ludogorets postponement latest as Met Office issue amber warning in Scotland
Rangers’ Europa League clash with Ludogorets on Thursday could be played amid poor conditions at Ibrox.
Danny Rohl‘s side take on the Bulgarian champions on home soil seeking a seventh straight win in all competitions.
Rangers are unable to call upon their new signings due to UEFA rules, but the contest provides an opportunity to continue building momentum.
Like plenty of other games over the past few weeks, a weather warning is in place in Scotland for Rangers’ clash.

Met Office weather warning upgrades for Thursday
Rangers’ meeting with Aberdeen looked like being called off for a while, but it ultimately went ahead and Rohl’s men came out on top.
Thankfully, the worst of the weather looks likely to miss Glasgow and Ibrox on Thursday evening at the time of the Ludogorets match.
As per a new update on the Met Office’s website on Thursday morning, an amber warning is now in place for a large area starting in Perth and stretching almost as far as Aberdeen.
An amber alert means flooding is expected in areas, while fast flowing water could cause danger to life in the most extreme cases.
Meanwhile, a yellow warning is in place for a larger area, but it does not reach as far as Glasgow itself.

That means that, while some from further afield may have difficulty getting to the game, the match itself is not under any immediate risk of being called off.
Rangers out to avoid unwanted 16-year first against Ludogorets
Rangers were beaten 2-1 away at Ferencvaros in their most recent Europa League outing prior to Christmas.
That loss was the Gers’ seventh in their past nine outings in the competition, with the other two games in that sequence finishing all square.
It means Rangers could go 10 without a win in a major European competition for the first time since between April 2008 and September 2010.
| Rangers | Europa League 2025-26 |
| Games | 6 |
| Wins | 0 |
| Draws | 1 |

| Goals against | 11 |
Rohl’s side are currently 33rd out of 36 teams, sitting six points behind Celtic in the final playoff qualification spot.
Advancing is not realistic, then, but Rohl will know the importance of picking up a win on home soil on Thursday to keep alive the feel-good factor he has been slowly building.
