Besiktas have made a new offer for Nicolas Raskin as Rangers continue to do their business in the winter transfer window.

Tochi Chukwuani been signed at Ibrox to bolster the Gers’ engine room, with the former Sturm Graz star making his debut in the 5-0 win over Annan Athletic in the Scottish Cup on 16 January.

The Light Blues have also completed the arrivals of Tuur Rommens and Andreas Skov Olsen, and they will surely be focusing on trimming their squad in the coming weeks.

Besiktas offer rebuffed as Nicolas Raskin has Rangers exit plan

Raskin has once again turned down the opportunity to sign for Besiktas in January, according to Fotospor.

The news outlet reports on 19 January that the Belgium international wants to play for a team in Europe’s top five league, subsequently rebuffing a switch from Ibrox to the Istanbul club.

It’s been claimed that the 24-year-old has given a negative response to the Super Lig side, and the Light Blues will surely be expecting the midfielder to stay for now.

Raskin’s contract at Ibrox doesn’t expire until 2028, and the Glaswegian outfit can certainly afford to keep hold of him for the time being.

The Belgian national’s stock will undoubtedly rise if he puts in an impressive performance in the 2026 World Cup, and the Givan side may be able to make a hefty profit on him next summer.

Nicolas Raskin bidding war should be expected amid Premier League interest

Tottenham have been linked with Raskin, and the Gers can clearly exploit interest from down south.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see more Premier League outfits joining the race for the midfielder’s signature at Rangers after the World Cup.
