Rangers goalkeeper Jack Butland reacts to confirmed Premier League transfer news
Jack Butland is no stranger to being linked with a move away from Rangers.
Former England international Butland was being linked with a move to the Premier League 12 months ago after a string of standout displays.
Butland‘s form nosedived towards the end of last season, however, and he was left out occasionally be caretaker boss Barry Ferguson.
There was then transfer talk of a different kind for Butland in the summer, with some reports suggesting Rangers were targeting a goalkeeper replacement.
That was not the case, though, and Butland remains undisputed number one under new boss Danny Rohl.
Rangers have been busy adding to their squad this month, and they are not alone in doing so as another big deal went through elsewhere on Monday.

Jack Butland reacts to Marc Guehi to Man City transfer
Butland clearly still has close eyes on events at Crystal Palace, and indeed with his former teammates.
One of those, Marc Guehi, was announced as a Manchester City player on Monday as that deal finally went through.
Butland played in the same Palace squad as Guehi for a brief period in 2020-21.
And the 32-year-old ‘liked’ confirmation of Palace’s thank-you post to Guehi on Instagram as his exit was announced.

It is reported that City have paid fellow Premier League side £20million for Guehi, despite the centre-back being a free agent in the summer.
Rangers may well have long-term Butland successor in their sights
Rangers are on fire right now under Rohl and are looking to further strengthen various positions on the pitch.
While a new goalkeeper is not required right now, that is not to say a new stopper will not be brought in during the summer.
- Jack Butland joined Rangers in June 2023
- He has made 138 appearances for the Gers in all competitions
- Previously played 17 times for Crystal Palace between 2020 and 2023
And it is sounding increasingly likely as though Piece Charles could be the man Rangers go after.
It has been suggested that Rohl has personally asked Ibrox transfer chiefs to go after Charles, whom he knows from Sheffield Wednesday.
Butland still has plenty of years ahead of him, but some healthy competition from a genuine number-one contender will do him no harm at all.
