Damir Redzic transfer update emerges at Rangers after Andreas Skov Olsen announcement news

Rangers have expressed interest in Dunajska Streda winger Damir Redzic as Andreas Skov Olsen is set to be unveiled at Ibrox.

Danny Rohl has completed the signing of Skov Olsen, and an announcement is imminent, with the Gers having an option to sign him for £8.5million at the end of the season after the initial loan deal.

Redzic has also been linked with a move to Ibrox, with the 22-year-old attracting interest from several other teams around Europe.

The Hungary international has impressed in the Nika Liga this season, scoring seven goals in 14 appearances for the Slovakian club.

Rangers move for Damir Redzic stalls after Andreas Skov Olsen deal

Skov Olsen’s arrival at the Gers seems to have paused a possible deal for Redzic in January, according to The Rangers Review.

The news outlet reports on 16 January that, while the young forward is being tracked at Ibrox, the “high-profile” transfer of the former Club Brugge attacker appears to have stalled a move for the Hungarian national.

As things stand, the Light Blues have the likes of Mikey Moore, Djeidi Gassama, Oliver Antman and Findlay Curtis capable of playing out wide.

Skov Olsen will undoubtedly be competing for a place in the starting lineup, subsequently increasing the competition for places in G51.

Rohl is gunning for the William Hill Premiership title, and the added quality in the squad will undoubtedly help him put up a better fight against Hearts and Celtic.

The German manager expects further additions at the Glaswegian outfit, but it remains to be seen whether he will feel the need to sign Redzic in the coming weeks.
