UEFA latest as Rangers spending spree continues in ‘extreme’ new transfer update
Rangers are not stopping anytime soon in their transfer spree at Ibrox.
Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers Enterprises are throwing their weight around in Scotland, with bids totalling over £10million already sent.
Tochi Chukwuani has arrived from Sturm Graz for £4million, with Tuur Rommens next in line after Westrlo accepted a £3m offer for the left-back.
Add Rangers’ agreement to sign Wolfsburg star Andreas Skov Olsen on a loan-to-buy, and the American owners are not messing around at Ibrox.

UEFA guidelines latest on Rangers transfers
UEFA have been working on transfer guidelines that keep squad cost ratios to 70 per cent of a club’s takeover, and Rangers were warned not to overspend after their takeover.
Speaking exclusively to Ibrox News, Dan Plumley believes that the Bears will be fine when it comes to UEFA and their rules, for now.
“It would depend on how extreme they go,” the football finance expert said. “I mean extreme in the context of Rangers and Scottish clubs spending money.
“They’re not on the radar of UEFA at the minute from what I can see.
“There’s nothing out there to suggest any cause for concern. Their squad cost ratio trajectory looks ok, from what we can see at the moment.“
Rangers must be mindful of spending sprees
Plumley went on to admit that if Rangers do continue spending, they will need to quickly start offsetting that by either selling their own talent or increasing their yearly revenues.
“They have got to be mindful of it; if they go on a huge spending spree again in the summer, that will be something they’ve got to factor into their long-term planning,” he added.
“These clubs are working on three-year cycles within the constraints of the regulatory framework, so nothing that would suggest a concern, but if you’re going to start spending big, you’ve got to offset that and how you do that with either net movement in players, or you increase revenue.”
Rangers are planning to sell up to six players this month, so that would certainly help matters at Ibrox.
