Andreas Skov Olsen whereabouts emerge after ‘intense’ Rangers talks
Andreas Skov Olsen is set to become Rangers’ latest new signing of the January transfer window.
Danny Rohl received his first transfer breakthrough when Rangers confirmed the signing of Tochi Chukwuani last weekend, with the midfielder moving to Ibrox in a £4million switch from Sturm Graz.
Tuur Rommens is expected to become a Rangers player imminently too, as the 22-year-old left-back dots the i’s and crosses the t’s on his move from Westerlo.
Rangers were forecasted a busy January transfer window, as the turnaround in form and performances under Rohl has seen them now firmly in contention to win the Premiership title.
Andreas Skov Olsen jetting into Glasgow as Rangers deal close
After bolstering their central midfield ranks with Chukwuani and as they wrap up a deal for Rommens, Rangers‘ attentions have now turned to strengthening in attack.
Skov Olsen has emerged as a Rangers target over the last few days, with the 26-year-old winger having struggled in Germany ever since moving from Club Brugge to Wolfsburg in January of last year.
However, the 40-cap Denmark international enjoyed some superb years in Belgium with Brugge, and also has experience playing in Serie A with Bologna, and so he could well be a top quality addition for the Gers.

And, as per a fresh report from Tipsbladet on Wednesday, Rangers are understood to have agreed a loan fee with Wolfsburg for Skov Olsen, with the player now on his way to Glasgow to complete the deal.
It’s said that the loan deal will include the option for Rangers to purchase him, with the frameworks of the move now agreed after what has been described as “intense negotiations” over the course of “several days”.
What are the key attributes Skov Olsen will bring to Rangers?
Despite his time in Germany not going to plan – he’s made 23 appearances and scored three goals – Skov Olsen has still produced some underlying numbers that offer a glimpse of what he will add to Rohl’s team.
Skov Olsen is completing 87.3 per cent of his passes as well as recording a 77.8 per cent long ball accuracy, whilst also creating 1.75 chances per 90 minutes and completing 75 per cent of his dribbles.
- Skov Olsen’s best season of his career to date came in 2023-24
- He scored 26 goals and provided eight assists in 50 appearances for Club Brugge that year
- He also recorded a 25-goal and four-assist campaign in 2018-19 for Danish side Nordsjaelland
Meanwhile, he’s also posting some impressive numbers in the defensive side of the game, winning 60 per cent of his ground duels per 90 and 75 per cent of them in the air, with the latter being the best percentage of any Bundesliga right-winger in 2025-26 so far.
