Andreas Skov Olsen packs his bags after what Danny Rohl did for Rangers transfer

Andreas Skov Olsen is set to become the marquee signing of the winter window in Scotland, with Rangers close to getting their man.

Rangers have agreed a loan-to-buy deal with Wolfsburg for Skov Olsen, with the fee lower than the £12million spent by the Germans.

Skov Olsen was given permission to travel earlier on Wednesday, with the Danish international excited for the opportunity of more game time.

Rangers are currently on fire in the Scottish Premiership, with the Wolfsburg attacker’s imminent arrival only set to aid their unlikely title bid.

Skov Olsen has already packed up his belongings in Wolfsburg and will now make his way to Glasgow.

Florian Plettenberg has reported that Danny Rohl has pushed for the move personally, with the fine print now accepted between all parties.

Skov Olsen will undergo his medical upon arrival, before his move to Ibrox is made official in the coming days.

Double Rangers transfer set to make headlines

Rangers have already completed a deal for Tochi Chukwuani this month, with a £4million deal agreed with Sturm Graz.

Skov Olsen congratulated Chukwuani, his fellow Dane, on the move, and he looks set to follow in his footsteps only days later in Govan.

Before that, though, Tuur Rommens looks set to be the next signing announced at Ibrox, with the Westerlo left-back already going through his medical.

Skov Olsen will be next through the door after Rommens, and it could be a sensational deal.

The 26-year-old has 40 caps for Denmark and has scored eight goals in that time, and if they qualify for the World Cup in North America, he will want to be there.

First, Skov Olsen will need to recapture some of his best form at Rangers.

If he can recreate anything close to the numbers he did over in Belgium, then Hearts, Celtic and the rest of the Scottish Premiership should be very worried.

Rangers have already been destroyed by Club Brugge this season, so signing one of their recent stars should only help them improve dramatically.

This one is nearly done.
