‘Rangers to complete three more January signings’ after Tochi Chukwuani in winter transfer blitz

Rangers don’t seem to be taking their foot off the gas after the arrival of Tochi Cukwuani.

Chukwuani’s transfer from Sturm Graz was officially announced before the Bears’ 2-0 win over Aberdeen on Sunday.

Rangers are also close to signing Tuur Rommens from KVC Westerlo, with Wolfsburg’s Andreas Skov Olsen also on the agenda.

However, if Andrew Cavenagh were to finalise a deal for the pair, there are suggestions that the Gers may still be in the market for at least one more addition for Danny Rohl.

Barry Ferguson says he thinks Rangers will soon sign another two or three players

Rangers have plenty of transfer targets, but the 49ers are closely working with the recruitment team and Rohl to narrow down who will fit the bill at Ibrox.

Skov Olsen is said to want the move to Glasgow, while Rommens’ impending switch to the Bears could be completed this week.

Chukwuani has been tremendous in the Austrian Bundesliga this season for Sturm Graz, and Rangers would do well to bring more individuals who are as good as the Dane.

While speaking on the Go Radio Football show, Barry Ferguson shared his thoughts on Rangers’ new acquisition, Chukwuani, and hinted at what Gers fans can expect to come in the window.

“Chukwuani is definitely a physical presence, something that Rangers certainly need domestically. I watched him a few times, Rangers played against Sturm Graz, and he played against Celtic,” he said.

“He’s the type of profile I think Rangers need. He plays in the number six position, but he can play further forward. He can play in various positions, which is important.

I expect another two or three [transfers] over the coming weeks.”

Rangers’ striker debacle still up for debate

Rangers striker situation has been one that has cropped up in conversations many times already this season.

Youssef Chermiti, Bojan Miovski, and Danilo have all come under fire for poor performances, and Rohl could be after a new number nine in the coming weeks.

But Chermiti’s brace in the 3-1 win over Celtic seemed to have shifted the topic of who the Bears should bring in this window.

While the striker has earned his spot in Rohl’s side, Mivoski and Danilo still need to be looked at.

There would be no harm in Rangers bringing in an extra forward this window if it meant one of Mivoski or Danilo were shipped off.
