Rangers exit twist emerges in new Djeidi Gassama transfer reveal at Ibrox

Rangers were said to have no intention to sell Djeidi Gassama in the winter transfer window.

The 22-year-old signed for the Gers in the summer for £2.2million from Sheffield Wednesday, and has been one of the few Kevin Thelwell signings that haven’t disappointed.

Clubs in MLS and LaLiga are eyeing Gassama, but the attacker and the Light Blues are said to have no intention of parting ways in the coming weeks.

Andrew Cavenagh is expected to spend more money at Ibrox, but the Glaswegian outfit may look to raise some funds to support their backing of Danny Rohl.

Rangers can sell Djeidi Gassama for right offer

Gassama could potentially be sold by the Gers for a significant sum, according to the Daily Record.

The news outlet reports on 13 January that with interest in the French youngster from Europe and America, the Ibrox hierarchy may be tempted to cash in if the “right offer comes in”.

After a strong start in Govan, the forward has arguably gone off the boil a bit, failing to score in his last 11 William Hill Premiership games.

Rohl would surely step in to stop Gassama from leaving, but fans will certainly be keeping an eye on the attacker’s situation in January.

With the likes of Kieran Dowell and Rabbi Matondo not trusted by the German manager, it wouldn’t make sense to sell the former Sheffield Wednesday star.

Danny Rohl to open doors for forward exit at Ibrox

VfL Wolfsburg winger Andreas Skov Olsen is being linked with a move to Ibrox, with the forward compared to Vaclav Cerny.

While Rangers shouldn’t sell Gassama, Oliver Antman will surely look over his shoulder if the 40-cap Denmark international does move to Govan.

While the former Go Ahead Eagles winger is injured right now, he may not have a future at the Glaswegian outfit next summer.

The Finland forward has failed to live up to expectations at the Light Blues, and supporters in G51 undoubtedly won’t be bothered by his exit.
