Neil McCann set to reunite with Rangers player as Ibrox exit now on cards
Neil McCann is interested in signing a current Rangers star to play for him at Kilmarnock.
The Bears have had a busy transfer window so far in terms of players linked, with Tochi Chukwuani becoming Danny Rohl’s first signing on Sunday.
However, Rangers need to get rid of some players, with up to six potentially leaving in search of regular game time.
McCann played for Rangers between 1998 and 2003 and scored 19 goals for the Bears, long before becoming a part of Barry Ferguson’s coaching staff in February 2025.
He has recently been appointed as the new Kilmarnock manager and is is now interested in being reunited with Findlay Curtis.
Kilmarnock in negotiations to sign Findlay Curtis on loan
McCann has previous experience managing Dundee and Inverness Caledonian Thistle, and took charge of his first Kilmarnock game on Saturday, which ended in a 1-1 draw with Livingston.
Rangers Review journalist Chris Jack has reported on Monday that Kilmarnock have begun negotiations over a potential loan move for Curtis.
McCann would like to have Curtis in Ayrshire for the second half of the campaign, especially given what he saw from the 19-year-old when he was a coach last season.
| Stat | McCann |
| Games managed | 82 |
| Wins | 28 |
| Draws | 16 |
| Losses | 38 |
Kilmarnock were one of the clubs that expressed an interest in signing the youngster in the summer, and they could be successful the second time around.
His bright start to the season has been seemingly ignored by Rohl, despite scoring several key goals under Russell Martin.
Curtis has scored three times in all competitions this season, and the academy graduate is in desperate need of first-team minutes to speed up his development.

Curtis has bags of potential, and working with McCann could give him a much-needed boost in confidence.
Findlay Curtis’ loan move paves way for Andreas Skov Olsen deal
Should Curtis leave, it would allow Rohl to bring in Danish winger Andreas Skov Olsen.
Rangers have lodged a seven-figure bid to seal a loan move for the Wolfsburg forward.
Wolfsburg signed Skov Olsen this summer for £12million from Club Brugge, although he has failed to hit the ground running in Germany.
The Light Blues were originally interested in signing the 26-year-old in 2022, when he was playing for Italian side Bologna.
With Curtis gone, albeit temporarily, Rangers should now have a free run to secure Skov Olsen’s services.
