Tuur Rommens transfer may hit delay despite new Rangers agreement and medical latest
Rangers aren’t expected to complete the signing of Westerlo left-back Tuur Rommens until late next week.
Rommens has been heavily linked with a move to Ibrox in January, with the Gers preferring the Belgium Under-21 international over AEK Athens and former Hearts defender James Penrice.
Danny Rohl is expected to get Tochi Chukwuani from Sturm Graz, with the Light Blues agreeing a deal worth around £4million, excluding add-ons and sell-on percentage.
The German manager will also hope the 22-year-old left-back arrives sooner rather than later, but there may be a slight delay in announcing his transfer.

Rangers still working on Tuur Roomens deal as medical started
Westerlo and the Gers are yet to conclude a deal for Rommens, according to Tom English.
The journalist reports in BBC Sport on 10 January that it could take a few days for the Light Blues to confirm the left-back’s signing.
Rommens was apparently already undergoing his medical in Glasgow on 8 January, with the Govan side paying an initial fee of £2.6m and £430,000 in performance-related add-ons.
Rohl will undoubtedly want the Glaswegian outfit to conclude their business at Ibrox imminently, with Hearts there for the taking in the William Hill Premiership.
Supporters will hope Chukwuani and Rommens aren’t the only two arrivals in Govan, with more quality evidently needed in the German manager’s squad.
Danny Rohl opens door for double exit at Ibrox
Sunderland midfielder Dan Neil and winger Romaine Mundle are on Rangers’ radar, hinting at potential exits in G51.
Lyall Cameron and Findlay Curtis may have to look for regular game time elsewhere, with the Gers looking to sign multiple reinforcements in the coming weeks.
| Player | Appearances | Minutes played |
| Cameron | 10 | 422 |
| Curtis | 17 | 411 |
If the Light Blues do sign the two Englishmen from the Premier League outfit, the doors will surely open for the two Scottish players to further their development elsewhere.
January is certainly set to be a busy period for the Glaswegian outfit, both in terms of incomings and outgoings.
