Rangers to complete transfer for ‘visionary’ star, new clauses agreed at Ibrox

Rangers are finally set to explode into life in the January transfer window.

Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers Enterprises are once again throwing their weight around in the Scottish Premiership, with more than £10million made in bids.

Tuur Rommens is set to join from Westerlo, with Tochi Chukwuani, another prime target, closing in.

Rangers are not stopping there, though, with approaches for Dan Neil and Romaine Mundle from Sunderland also being made.

Details as Tochi Chukwuani to seal Rangers transfer

Chukwuani looks set to be next through the door at Ibrox for Danny Rohl.

Luca Bendoni has reported that Rangers are set to complete a move for the midfielder worth more than £4.3million.

The Sky Sports journalist shares that add-ons have also been agreed upon, with a sell-on clause in the deal with Sturm Graz.

Chukwuani has now been authorised to undergo his medical checks, with a quick turnaround expected.

Rangers face Aberdeen again on Sunday, and with Connor Barron ruled out long-term, the midfielder could be thrown straight in for his debut.

Chukwuani labelled visionary star of the future in Denmark

Before making the move to Austria with Sturm Graz, Chukwuani made a name for himself with FC Nordsjælland.

Coaches there described the Danish youth international as a “very visionary player” who will be one of the top players of the future in football.

Wolves have also previously been linked with Chukwuani, with Premier League interest a sign that Rohl may have just picked up a massive bargain.

Nasser Djiga has been a terrible loan signing from Wolves, though, so that may not be the best comparison to make at this time.

Either way, Chukwuani is desperately needed, and that instant exposure will certainly show if he is ready to sink or swim at Ibrox.

The early signs look good.
