Tuur Rommens and Tochi Chukwuani availability for Rangers squad vs Aberdeen revealed
Chris Jack expects Tuur Rommens and Tochi Chukwuani to travel with the Rangers squad to face Aberdeen.
The Rangers Review journalist expects the duo to bond with the Gers’ squad if they are signed before the trip to Pittodrie on 11 January.
Rommens has reportedly boarded his flight to Scotland to complete a move to the Light Blues in the coming hours.
The Ibrox hierarchy have agreed a £4million fee for Chukwuani, and it now remains to be seen how long their medicals will take.
Chris Jack doesn’t expect Tuur Rommens or Tochi Chukwuani to start in Aberdeen vs Rangers
Jack would be surprised to see Rommens or Chukwuani make the Gers’ starting lineup against Aberdeen.
Even if everything goes well with the Westerlo left-back and Sturm Graz midfielder’s arrival at Ibrox, the best fans can hope for is that they make the bench.
What seems inevitable is that Rommens and Chukwuani could be involved in the squad if they’re available.
Speaking on The Rangers Transfer Show on 8 January, Jack said, “Not sure on timings, when the two of them are actually going to arrive yet. Fingers crossed all goes well medical-wise.”
The journalist added, “If they’re here and they’re available, they certainly will travel up to Aberdeen and be part of the squad. Good from a team bonding perspective. Maybe make the bench. I don’t think there’s a need for them to start. But the manager might see differently.”
Rohl was prioritising a number six at Ibrox, and the addition of a new left-back was hinted at; the German manager now looks set to get both of his wishes.

Rohl seems to be planning for a future without Nicolas Raksin, with the Belgium international catching the attention of top teams around Europe.
While the 24-year-old will definitely stay and be part of the German manager’s squad to overtake Hearts in the William Hill Premiership this season, Rangers may opt to cash in on him next summer.
