Rangers face new transfer delay for Tochi Chukwuani as extreme warning issued
Tochi Chukwuani is the name on everyone’s lips at Rangers.
Rangers have agreed a £4million deal to sign Chukwuani from Sturm Graz, with the midfielder set to bolster options in the middle of the park at Ibrox.
Danny Rohl was guaranteed to sign a new midfielder and a left-back, and he appears close to both.
Westerlo have also accepted a £3m bid for Tuur Rommens, with Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers spending millions again in the Scottish Premiership.
But it may not all be plain sailing for Chukwuani, with delays now on the cards.
Chukwuani transfer faces new Rangers delays
Chukwuani was left out of the Sturm Graz squad for a friendly on Thursday, with all eyes now on his move to Rangers.
Despite that, he may not find it easy to actually make it to Scotland.
Not only is Storm Goretti about to batter the United Kingdom, but there have been yellow weather warnings for snow and ice all week, via the Met Office.

On top of that, things may be even worse in Austria.
Graz is currently facing “extreme” low temperature warnings, via AccuWeather, with snow and ice also expected in the next 24 hours.
It is unclear if the weather is delaying or even cancelling flights in and out of Austria, but with the safety key, it would be no surprise to see this move delayed.
Where will Tochi Chukwuani fit?
Playing in a deeper-lying midfield role, Chukwuani likes to dictate play and get on the ball as much as possible, with a hard tackle also in his armoury.
Chukwuani was sent off for a rash challenge on Callum McGregor earlier in the season at Celtic Park, something Rangers fans would likely love to watch again.

Rohl will likely want more consistency in his game, looking at his average match ratings from this season, but with the likes of Nicolas Raskin, Connor Barron and Mohamed Diomande around him, that should come naturally.
Rangers desperately need someone who can unlock those types of players, and Chukwuani could do just that from ahead of the defence.
If the weather plays ball, he should be made official before the weekend arrives.
