Rangers progress move to seal Tochi Chukwuani transfer as Danny Rohl ready for new midfielder
Danny Rohl has set his sights on bolstering his Rangers midfield this month.
Rangers are expected to be active in the transfer market this winter, despite it perhaps being a slower start to the window than what Rohl would’ve ideally liked.
Rohl believes that Rangers can win the Premiership title this season, but if he is to mastermind an incredible comeback story following the disastrous Russell Martin era, then Andrew Cavenagh and the 49ers will need to back their man.
Rangers have been promised at least two new signings, with guarantees that they will add a left-back and central midfielder before the window shuts.
Tochi Chukwuani emerges on Rangers’ transfer radar
It’s the latter of those two positions that has seen the most transfer activity and speculation coming out of Ibrox so far this month, with Rohl evidently desperate to boost his options in the middle of the park.
Silas Andersen has been strongly linked with a move to Rangers, whilst a Joe Aribo reunion at Ibrox has also been floated.
However, a new midfield target has been revealed to be on Rangers‘ wishlist, and that is 22-year-old Sturm Graz star Tochi Chukwuani.
As reported by Rangers Review journalist Chris Jack via X on Wednesday, the Gers are keeping tabs on Chukwuani, with talks already having taken place with Sturm Graz over a possible deal.
Meanwhile, it’s also stated that Andersen is indeed still a player that Rangers admire, but no official bid has been submitted or even talks held with Hacken.
