Dujon Sterling sent for scan, two other injury doubts for Aberdeen vs Rangers

Rangers have concerns over Dujon Sterling, Connor Barron and Mikey Moore as they face Aberdeen in the William Hill Premiership on Sunday.

The English defender has only recently returned from a lengthy layoff and has now been sent for a scan after a hamstring complaint.

Barron was monumental against Aberdeen at Ibrox, providing two assists as the Gers won 2-0.

Danny Rohl has also heavily relied on Moore, but it remains to be seen whether the Tottenham loanee will be fit enough for the trip to Pittodrie.

Rangers trio not ruled out yet for Aberdeen clash

Sources close to Rohl have revealed that Sterling, Barron and Moore haven’t been ruled out yet ahead of the Aberdeen game, according to the Daily Record.

The news outlet reports on 7 January that the Gers are just taking precautionary measures with the versatile defender after an achilles rupture left him sidelined for eight months at Ibrox.

It’s been claimed that Barron is being assessed for a knee issue, while Moore was substituted at half-time in the previous fixture after picking up a knock.

The German manager is dealing with a triple injury doubt, and any absence will be a big blow for him.

Rohl has got fans back dreaming of winning the William Hill Premiership, with the Glaswegian outfit now second in the league table.

While Hearts and Celtic have a game in hand over the Govan side, the German manager has undoubtedly changed the tide in G51 after an abysmal start to the season.

Danny Rohl forced into unpopular change at Pittodrie

Thelo Aasgaard has underwhelmed at Ibrox, with his inconsistent performances causing frustration among supporters.

With Mohamed Diomande also going off with an apparent injury as Rangers beat the Dons, Rohl might be forced to play the Norway international from the start.

The Light Blues may lose their midfield balance if Barron and the Cote d’Ivoire international are unavailable.

Fans will hope Rohl has a positive update for them in his pre-match press conference.
